Josh went for a ride. The kids slept in. After breakfast, Avery went to the kids' club. I did some much needed yoga in the room. We had a bite to eat at the pool bar and then we all went down to the beach. After a swim in the sea, Josh and Avery went back to the room to have a nap. Charlotte, Olivia and I played Gin. As you can tell, the days are becoming quite strenuous!
Late in the day, we spent some time around the pool for the daily "happy hour." Tonight, at the suggestion of the hotel manger, Josh and I booked a table at the a la carte restaurant. First, we sat with the kids while they had their dinner... and gelato. Then Charlotte "babysat" so we could have a dinner alone. The kids went back to the room to watch RV.
The food at the a la carte restaurant was better than the buffet. And, it was nice to have a relaxing meal. For some reason, at the buffet, Olivia and Avery feel like it's a rush to collect as many plates as possible and there is a lot of parental getting up and down involved. In any case, we felt it was good for Charlotte to have some responsibility for babysitting. At one point, Avery came running the lawn to the restaurant. He reported babysitter abandonment. Charlotte had left the room to go to the bathroom in the our room (we have two separate rooms at this hotel), and he used the opportunity to escape. Shortly, Charlotte came running down to collect her charge. It was all very funny.
