Cala di Lepre - Day 3

After breakfast this morning, Avery seemed more interested in joining the kids at the club. Josh also offered Charlotte money to "babysit" which seemed to help. Then, Josh went out for a ride while I went to the beach for a swim. I saw Charlotte holding Avery's hand as all the kids paraded by.

We reconvened at lunchtime and had another meal by the pool. Josh joined us, still perspiring from his bike ride. He had ridden to Porto Cervo. Hopefully we will all take the beautiful drive along the Costa Smerelda on Saturday when we leave Cala di Lepre for our next accommodation near San Teodoro.

After lunch, we all went for a swim in the sea, and then the kids played in the pool. They were very excited because the club was taking the kids horseback riding this afternoon. At 3:45pm, the kids rejoined the mini-club to go on their cavallo expedition; Josh went to watch the tour and I took a rest in the room. It wasn't until 6:30pm that we met the kids again and all had a dip in the salt-water pool together. When we came back up to the bungalow to change for dinner, Avery was so tired he just laid down and fell asleep.

Josh and Olivia went to the restaurant while Charlotte and I stayed behind to help Avery get up and get dressed. I called to have a golf cart pick us up because I wasn't sure he would make the walk over. At first, he took his blanket, but I persuaded him to leave it in the room.
It was another delicious dinner at Cala di Lepre. I had bucatoni with lobster, a cous-cous with shrimp and cilantro, and a piece of fresh Orate fish. After each meal, I am particularly enjoying the delicious, fresh green figs for desert. The kids too are enjoying the desert buffet -- we're trying to limit them to two deserts a night!

Tonight, we let the kids do some dancing, but we pulled everyone from the amphitheater and took them home by 9:30pm -- there was a lot of bellyaching all-around. But, it was clear everyone was super tired. In fact, once we were in our room and in our PJ's, I fell asleep first.
