We had big plans today, but never left the hotel ... with the exception of lunch (a short block away), and dinner. We read on the Marincanto sundeck (under the umbrella, of course) with 360-degree views, swam in the sea, soaked in the infinity pool (more views), and napped. Perfect.
We decided for Il Guarracino and the torta di limone again for dinner tonight. First, we were treated by the owner to a pizza bianca rosmarina e parmeggiana made in the shape of a heart. How sweet! Of course we also ate a zuppa di pesce and fresh grilled Orate.
The idea was to get to bed early tonight, but we found ourselves distracted by all the activity in the port, and the shopping on the way back to our hotel. Still, I was sleeping soundly when I started to hear music and a feel a slight vibration. Now, I was awake and wondered what was happening on the beach? When I opened one set of French doors and stepped out onto the terrace, it was obvious. There was a disco, neon lights flashing and all, on the beach below our room. I guess that’s the disadvantage of being located closer to the water. It was 3:15am. Josh gave me a pair of ear-plugs and I fell back asleep. (I think the disco closed at 4am).
