Podere del Cutignolo - Day 8: Orbetello and Giannella

Charlotte’s ear was not better after a day of drops. We thought we needed another remedy. We made it out to Orbetello to the pharmacy that was open today (Sunday) to get drops with cortisone.

Then we met some friends in Orbetello, picked up lunch and ate at their apartment before going to the beach. Today, we went to the beach on the northern-most of the isthmis (there are actually three isthmis' including the town of Orbetello connecting the Argentario peninsula to the mainland) called Giannella. Of course it was late in the day now, and the beach was crowded, so we had to share lettinos. Charlotte read as she could not go in the water. She seemed miserable - poor girl. Josh threw the frisbee with Avery.

Back at our villa, we spent the early evening by the pool. Olivia had made friends with the little 7-year old German girl staying next door. Also, this evening, we chatted with our other neighbors from Rome who rent an apartment in the next door stable year-round.

Later, Emily, the German girl, came over after dinner to play and watch a movie.
