This evening, while Charlotte was at swim practice, and Avery was already asleep, Olivia and I tucked in to bed for a little pillow talk. How did I meet daddy? What did he say to me? Questions about our wedding. Questions about my why I don't go to school or work anymore? We played a game out of a book where I ask her questions. "Who would you like to be for a day and why?" "Mommy. So I can be fancy and do whatever I want." It's moments like these that I cherish...and that I have to remember when I'm tearing my hair out.
Getting Avery to sleep earlier was not so easy. From the moment I picked him up from school this afternoon, he was whining about something. In fact, if I had to describe Avery lately I would say he is incessantly whining. Someone always seems to have something he wants. I wonder what he'd be like as an only child?
Morris came over this afternoon to help out around the house - and to stay for dinner. He had Olivia and Avery busy cutting green beans with scissors. They were having such a good time "cooking" with him. When the cooking portion of the exercise was complete, they fought over who would "get to" mop the floor! It's great to see that Olivia and Avery want to be such helpers.
In the morning I worked out at the gym. Then after lunch I helped Josh with a presentation he's been working on with his friend relating to potential sponsorship of a professional cycling team. It's fun to put my business hat back on...and probably good for keeping my brain warm.
No complaints. Life is great. Life is rich. Life is life.
